Easy Fashion Must-Have's

Lately I have been really into the boho/messy look (not grunge mind you). Specifically, me being a fan of pastels and creams, got great joy when these colors were once again advertised as "in" (barf) . Anyway, here are some of my favorites for spring 2009. These pieces are really simple and basic, however, they can be played up with funky accessories.

1. Cream colored converse. They look great with skinny jeans or leggings.
2. Yes, yes, I know black leggings. However, if you think about it, there must be a reason why      they keep on showing up (could it be because they're fabulous)?

3. Can't go wrong with a motorcycle jacket; find one, grab it, keep it. Simple as that

4. Cool Hats, who doesn't love a funky bowler or fedora?

5. Go for soft fabrics; cashmere, jersey, cotton, etc. Right now soft grays and pastels are the top of the food chain, simple pieces can work as a base adding a funky belt or bright shoes can always add a fun flair.

6. Scarves!!!!

7. Retro Sunglasses
8.  Boyfriend jeans

Hello Sleepy Head

A.F. Vandevorst created these looks for the spring. I really enjoy them, they look like a combination of sleepy and sexy; as though the models woke up in their lingerie and went to work. Furthermore, this is a mixture of masculine chic and sexy sleepwear. Two thumbs up!

Spring Collection: Stella McCartney

Oh, how I do love thee Stella McCartney. McCartney has a great collection this spring, she is using a lot of pastel pinks and white, while also throwing a few soft prints into the mix. Essentially, she is perfect for a beach day, or comfortable/chic outtings, overall if you want to be comfortable and elegant go with Stella.

Hello My Lovely's

As you may have noticed, my intelligent little readers, fashion is yet again swiveling around on its size 6 stilettos and heading down the road of the previously discovered. Specifically, style magazines, with their undeniable force in fashion, have lately, only been able to crank out has-been/unflattering fashion. For example, jeans are again being thrown into the collective acid inferno to create "Acid Washed"; the 80's pantsuit (known for its impeccably unflattering fit) are back, and metallics don't know whether their "it" or "out". Furthermore, magazines are spitting out an array of Pollock worthy produce that adds up only to a dizzy downfall of 80's inspired grunge wear and silver.

However, do not despair my fashion hungry loves, for within this fashion-less muck there is hope. For example, although you may see only acid wash jeans, to the left there is a soft cashmere sweater; behind the funky MC Hammer suit, a Renaissance inspired jacket. All you need is a fresh pair of eyes, and my blog (of course).

Not to sound like a crazy magazine bashing blog-head (which I'm not) I wish to openly say that I adore fashion mags and buy many of them. However, I notice from time to time (but, this may be my Leo talking), that they don't always have it going on. Furthermore, this blog is dedicated to fashion satiation of all you stylistas, or stylistos, out there. Have fun reading.

Sincerely,

Ms. Ed
